Coventry City U21's were beaten 2-0 at Crewe Alexandra this afternoon.

For this game at Gresty Road on a cold afternoon, the Sky Blues named a side which included Andy Rose and Stephen Hunt.

City had a number of chances but in the 33rd minute, Crewe were awarded a free kick some twenty yards out and Billy Bingham smashed it high into the net.

Andy Rose looked useful but was replaced in the 65th minute, whilst Hunt looked ok but clearly in need of more match practice.

With eight minutes left, Crewe had a second goal following a corner which Perry Ng slammed home from at the far post and City went down to a 2-0 defeat.
