Coventry City U21's were beaten 6-2 by Nottingham Forest this afternoon.

At AHC. with plenty in attendance, Forest took the lead in the tenth minute through James Thorne with a deflected shot.

Six minutes later and City were level when Ruben Lameiras got the ball following a corner and crossed for Reece Ford to tap in.

Both sides had chances and in the 28th minute, Lee Glover's side had a second goal when Lameiras got the ball and hit a shot that was so wide it found Jordan Shipley on the right hand side. Shipley cut inside and drove low into the net to put City 2-1 up.

The lead lasted for ten minutes as Addai could not hold onto a powerfully hit shot from Jorge Grant and Forest were level.

In the 55th minute, Forest had a third goal when Yates fired in a touch and Gerry McDonagh got a touch to send it past Addai.

There might have a debate as to who scored the third goal but there was no doubting the fourth when McDonagh lashed the ball home from twenty yards.

In the 63rd minute, Forest had a fifth after Petravicius scored after getting the ball on the right and a low finish from Kasheme Walton in the 73rd minute made it 6-2 to Forest.
