Coventry City went down to a late defeat in their final league game of 2012.

A sunny but cold December morning at the Alan Higgs Centre, saw some tough tackles fly in early on.

In the seventh minute, Ben Maund got in a shot from the right which Ross Durrant had to palm away for a corner.

Four minutes later, Wilfred Enahore cut in and won Forest's corner of the game.

Forest had the ball in the net in 19th minute but Forest skipper Michael Hollingsworth flattened City keeper Shane Fagan who required treatment. Fagan recovered and was ok as City went up the other end and Maund  won a corner which was met by Fredrick's volley from twenty yards and a smart save from the visiting keeper.

Joe Pegg was in commanding form along with Devon Kelly-Evans, Jordan Forrester and Rankin and Garner as both sides continued to look for an opening in a tight affair, which saw Sebastio and Petravicius go close before the half ended.

Early in the second half, City won three corners with the third coming off the boot of Azille-Moore and slicing for a defender to clear and Ackroyd headed a 57th minute corner for Steve Chettle's side over.

More action came with Kamaneno firing over, a Maund flick winning a corner and Forest winning a corner before Ian Foster sent on Eli Bako and Ryan Quinn in a bid to freshen things up.

In the 81st minute, Worthington cleared over for a corner and it looked like this game was heading for a draw which was a fair result but there were two minutes left when Wilfred Enahore danced his way through before hitting a powerful left footed shot to give Forest the win.
