Coventry City are saying they have sold over 4,000 tickets for the FA Cup Third Round tie against Stoke City on Saturday January 6th.

The club are also reporting that the Premier League club have sold around a thousand tickets, making it over 5,000 sold for the game which has a 3pm kick off at the Ricoh Arena and will be the first meeting of the two sides in the FA Cup since 1987 when City won at the Victoria Ground and went on to beat Tottenham Hotspur in the final.

City, who now have carte blanche to charge what they want for FA Cup ties thanks to a change in the competition rules, are charging normal league prices for the game.
