Coventry City have sold 4,750 season tickets the club have confirmed.

The club are still a way off their stated target of 6,000 season tickets in order to put a competitive team on the field and Tony Mowbray has said that the money from every City supporter this season is vital.

Mowbray told Keiran Crowley: "Every single supporter will matter as we look to get Coventry City back out of this division.

"We're grateful to every person that has paid for a Season Ticket or match package to date, as it all goes into our pot to help us provide the right structure and put the right team in place.

"We're working tirelessly behind the scenes to get the right players in.

“There are a few things in the pipeline but the more Season Tickets we sell, the more resources we have to improve our personnel and create a buzz at the Ricoh once again.

“I’m really looking forward to the new season and I hope as many City fans as possible will get behind us as we will need them throughout the campaign.”
