Coventry City U18's worked hard to beat Birmingham City 1-0.‎
 
‎With Steven Pressley , Neil MacFarlane and Steve Ogrizovic watching on at the Alan Higgs Centre, a City side which gave a debut to Irishman Darragh Leahy, started brightly with an early Kyle Spence shot but in the tenth minute, Bailey crashed a twenty yarder onto the bar.
 
Two minutes later and a foul by Jordan Potter saw him forced off with an injury.‎
 
City forced Birmingham to scramble a free kick off the line after the referee spotted a foul that many missed.
 
Cain Harries‎ was solid in defence for a City team which took the lead in the 26th minute when Chris Dusabe dispossessed the keeper and rolled the ball into the empty net for his second goal in City's colours.
 
‎City, with Callum Maycock superb in the middle and Leahy improving as the game went on, Luke Bromley and Kyle Barnett had headers hacked away, ‎
On the hour mark, Jordan Shipley sent a free kick wide and then had a cross cut out by the keeper who had to save from Dusabe in the 71st minute.
 
‎Both sides looked to create chances but found things tough due to two strong midfield and defences.
 
George Thomas was sent on for the last ten minutes and helped City win an 81st minute corner and then battled hard to ensure that the Sky Blues did the double over the Blues.
