Wyken's Cal Crutchlow took his second Superpole of the season in Valencia.

The Coventry kid, rode his Yamaha round the 4.005 mile circuit in a time of 1 min, 33.615 to take pole position for the World Super Bikes Championship round in Valencia later today.

Carlos Checa is second with Max Biaggi third and fellow Brit Leon Haslam fourth.

Crutchlow said to World Superbikes.com: "We had a lot of pole positions in Supersport and one here last year, so to come again and it on the Superbike is really good.

"I feel we could have been quicket but that is just me. If someone gets away at the front, we could be in trouble, so if we keep it a close race it should be good."
