Coventry Sphinx Reserves are through in the Midland Combination Challenge Trophy.

Lee Knibbs side came from behind to beat Gresley Rovers 4-2 at Sphinx Drive with four second half goals.

Carl Winterbottom, Callum Woodward,Tom Maguire and Jim Halton were all on the scoresheet.

Bas Savage scored for Brighton in a 4-1 Johnstone Paints victory against Cheltenham.

Local teams playing in the Midland Floodlit Youth League tonight and last night had mixed fortunes.

In the League Cup, Racing Club Warwick drew 0-0 with Alvechurch but lost 4-2 on penalties. Coventry Sphinx are home to Bedworth United tomorrow night at Sphinx Drive 7.45pm. 

Southam United beat Rugby Town 2-0 in an Eastern DIvision game and last night, Coventry Copsewood lost 3-1 at Stratford Town
