Nuneaton Town have announced that their Liberty Way home will be called the JDRF James Parnell Stadium for this season.

Businesses were invited to pay £250 to enter a draw for the naming rights for the year plus other benefits and the winner was DP Financial Services by David Parnell who announced that that the stadium name would be given to the charity Junior Diabetes Research Foundation for children coping with type 1 diabetes.

This is a charity close to his heart following the support offered to his son James Parnell who lives with this incurable condition on a daily basis.

The stadium will be known as the JDRF James Parnell Stadium for the 2014/15 season starting with the home match against Coventry City tomorrow.

Chief Executive Ian Neale said to the Nuneaton Town website: "We are really happy that the naming rights have been won and donated to such a fantastic charity. We are really excited to be able to raise awareness of this charity and look forward to working with them in the season ahead".
