Nuneaton Through In FA Trophy

Nuneaton Town moved into the next round of the FA Trophy with a 4-0 victory at the oldest club in the world.

Kevin Wilkin's side travelled to Sheffield FC and comfortably won 4-0 with goals from Gareth Dean, Guy Hadland, Adam Walker and Eddie Nisevic.

Leamington went top of the Southern League Premier Division with 1-0 win over St Albans City.

Blyth scored a penalty in the 80th minute in front of a crowd of 511.

Rugby Town were beaten 2-1 at home by Beaconsfield SYCOB. Preston scored VS's goal in the 12th minute.

In the Midland Alliance, Stratford Town beat Studley 6-1 whilst Atherstone drew 1-1 with Loughborough.

Goals from Cutting and keeper Scott Furlong gave Coventry Copsewood a 2-0 home win over Pilkington in a Midland Combination Premier Division game.

Other games in the division saw Barnett score twice for Nuneaton Griff in a 3-1 win at Earlswood Town and Thomas scored twice late on two earn Racing Club Warwick a 2-2 draw against Cadbury Athletic.

In the Midland Combination Division Two, Young Warriors won 5-0 at Burntwood Town but FC Stratford lost 3-2 at Aston and Leamington Hibernian lost 3-1 at Enville Athletic.
