Nuneaton Pulled Back

Nuneaton Town were denied a victory against league leaders Macclesfield Town in an exciting game at Liberty Way.

Andy Brown fired Kevin Wilkin's side ahead in the sixth minute and seven minutes later, James Armson converted a penalty. 

That was the way it stayed until the 70th minute when Keiran Murtagh netted. 

Nuneaton attacked in the 79th minute and hit a third through Danny Sleath but in the eight minutes of stoppage time, Matt Barnes-Homer and Arnaud Mendy scored to deny Nuneaton a win.

A crowd of 536 saw Leamington beat Arlesey Town 5-3 at the New Windmill.   Tom Berwick put the Brakes ahead in the seventh minute, only for Dillon to level in the 17th minute and ten minutes later, the visitors took the lead through a Roberts penalty.

Daly levelled in the 29th minute but Roberts converted another penalty in the 54th minute.

Leamington were awarded a penalty of their own which Magunda scored in the 81st minute and with five minutes remaining, Daly scored again to give the Brakes the win.

Bedworth United had a great win at Bedford United in a Southern League  fixture. Keane scored the only goal of the game in the 35th minute.

In the FA Vase, Racing Club Warwick lost 5-1 at Bridgnorth, Nuneaton Griff were beaten 2-0 at home by Gornal Athletic and Stratford Town lost 3-1 to Eccleshall.

In the Midland Combination Premier Division, Coventry Copsewood beat Pelsall Villa 3-1 and Atherstone Town won 2-1 at Bolehall Swifts.

In the Midland Combination Division Two, FC Stratford lost 2-1 at Alcester, Leamington Hibernian won 4-3 at Burntwood and Coventry Spartans lost 3-0 to Polesworth.
