Nuneaton Out Of FA Cup

Nuneaton Town are out of the FA Cup after a 2-0 defeat to fellow Conference Premier Division side Luton Town in a First Round Replay.

Nuneaton, against fielded on loan from Coventry City Kevin Malaga and former City youngster Adam Walker but Nuneaton, watched by a gate of 1596, went a goal down in the 22nd minute when Scott Rendell finished off from a JJ O'Donnell cross.

Malaga was involved in Nuneaton's set pieces and they hit the post through an Andy Brown header in the 36th minute

In the 70th minute, Gareth Dean fouled Andre Gray to give Luton a penalty which Scott Rendell duly dispatched to send Nuneaton out of the competition.

Leamington maintained their bid for promotion from the Southern League Premier Division with a 2-1 victory over Kettering Town.

The side given a recent reprieve, took the lead through Hicks in the 18th minute but Johnson levelled before the Brakes were back in front thanks to a Chilton goal in the 76th minute.

In the Polymac League Cup, Stratford Town were beaten 3-1 by Highgate United. Also in the competition, Westfields won 1-0 at Studley.

In the Midland Combination Premier Division, Southam United's game against Pershore Town was postponed but Atherstone Town drew 2-2 with Stafford Town.
