Nuneaton Lose At Alfreton

Nuneaton Town went down to a 3-2 defeat at Alfreton on Saturday afternoon.

The Conference North Champions took an 11th minute lead through Aden Flint but Kevin Wilkin's side came back with goals from Burns in the 20th minute and former Coventry City and Coventry Sphinx's Iyseden Christie in the 55th minute.

However two goals from Hearn including a 73rd minute penalty delighted the majority of the 1123 crowd.

Nuneaton Town now face AFC Telford in the Play-Offs.

Stuart Herlihy and Chris Murphy scored for Stratford Town in a 2-0 Midland Alliance win over Rocester.

In the Midland Combination Premier Division, Massey Ferguson drew 1-1 with Racing Club Warwick, Nuneaton Griff lost 3-1 at home to Bolehall Swifts, Alveston lost 3-0 to Brocton and Southam drew 0-0 at home to Continental Star.

In Division Two, Young Warriors won 4-3 at Chelmsley Town and Leamington Hibernian lost 3-1 at home to Driotwich Spa Reserves.
