Nuneaton Hit For Six

Nuneaton Town were hit for six at Wrexham in a Conference Premier Division game this afternoon.

Hunt fired the North Wales side ahead in 20th minute before former Coventry City forward Andy Morrell headed home eleven minutes later and Neil Ashton made it 3-0 on the stroke of half-time.

The goals continued in the second half with former City youngster Robert Ogleby firing in a fourth in the 73rd minute and Adrian Cieslewicz netting with a 35 yarder ten minutes later.

Wes York scored a consolation goal from the edge of the area in the 89th minute, but Wrexham attacked once again and won a penalty which Neil Ashton converted to give Nuneaton a 6-1 drubbing.

Leamington went down to a 3-0 defeat at St Albans City. Martin (16), Ijaha (44) and Taylor (64) got the goals.

Bedworth United lost 3-2 at AFC Totton. Ashley Spencer and Mitch Piggon got the goals.

In the Les James Challenge Cup, Nuneaton Griff beat Pelsall Villa 5-3.

In the Midland Combination Premier Division, Coventry Copsewood drew 2-2 with Castle Vale JKS, but Atherstone lost 2-1 at Pilkington and Racing Club Warwick lost 5-1 at Littleton.
