Nuneaton Draw And Leamington Draw In Trophy

Nuneaton Town drew 0-0 at home to Wrexham in a Conference fixture this afternoon.

Former City players Adam Walker and Steve O'Halloran played for Nuneaton whilst Andy Morrell and Robert Ogleby were both second half substitutes for the North Wales side who are now third in the table, whilst Nuneaton stay fourth bottom.

In the FA Trophy First Qualifying Round, Leamington let a two goal lead slip at Belper Town. Tom Berwick opened the scoring in the 36th minute and two minutes before the break, Morley had added a second.

In the second half, the home side earned a replay with goals from Siribour (58) and Longstaff (70).

Bedworth United are out after a 3-1 defeat at Hednesford Town. Woolfe put Hednesford ahead in the third minute, only for former Coventry Sphinx midfielder Aaron Donaldson to level in the 48th minute. Hednesford went back in front a minute later through Bailey with Durrell, hitting a third in the 66th minute. 

Rugby Town must replay after drawing 1-1 with Stafford Rangers at Butlin Road. Koriya equalised in the 39th minute for Dave Stringer's side.

In the Midland Alliance, Stratford Town drew 3-3 at Tipton Town. Two goals from Anthony Robinson had Stratford 2-1 up at the break and they added a third in the 61st minute to restore their lead though Josh O'Grady before Penny saw the match finish in a draw with two minutes remaining.

In the Midland Combination Division Two, Coventry Spires lost 5-0 at Henley Forest, FC Stratford won 2-1 at Leamington Hibernian and Kenilworth Town lost 5-3 at Polesworth.

In the Coventry Telegraph Cup, Alvis beat Bulkington 4-0, Coventry Copsewood beat Coventry Spartans 8-0, Folly Lane beat Nuneaton Griff 3-1, Racing Club Warwick beat Highway 4-1 and Southam United beat Potters Green 5-0.
