Coventry Bees rider Chris Harris has hit out at the British Speedway Promoters Association's decision not to include The Bees in next'season's Elite League line up.
Speaking to Chris Finch, Harris who has been at The Bees since 2004 said: "I think they are just trying to do what they always do. Every time we win the league they want to destroy the team.
"I have been here seven years and every time we have won the title or done well, they change the rules.
"Looking at the situation now I think it is very doubtful Coventry will compete next season. I just can't see it. It will be a big blow if Coventry are not in the league. They are one of the biggest clubs in the country and if Peterborough don't compete as well, it will be a huge shame for Sky Sports, the Elite League and British Speedway as a whole.
"Despite that, I think the league will still run but it just won't be the same without Coventry."
