Godiva Festival Threat

Local residents have put in an objection to the Godiva Festival due to start on Friday night in the Memorial Park.

There had been plans to let bands such as Inner Circle and The Enemy play at 80 decibels, however, a flood of protests from residents who must have known that there was a public facility on their doorsteps when they moved in, means that organisers CV One must get a new licence in order for the event to go ahead.

Some of these protestors objecting to the noise, mainly living in Armorial Avenue in Styvechale have called for the event to be moved to the Ricoh Arena or Coombe Abbey.

CV One are today applying for a fresh enterainment licence for the event.
