Coventry Rugby Club are in a race against time to prevent the club from going bust.

Talks are on-going with Poole based investor John Bowles, to try and save the club which is in administration with debts between £500k and £1m.

Two other interested parties have also been in touch with the club's administrators but a deal needs to be done be January 15th.

Administrator John Kelly told the CT: “We need to get something sorted out this week if we are fair to the players. There are a number of issues coming together to force the pace. Being wound-up is the danger.”

Coventry are also in talks with the RFU and Coventry City Council who own the lease of the Butts Park Arena.
