Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey Club held their End Of Season awards tonight at the Coventry Transport Museum.
On a night where the signings for next season of Mike Schutte and Benn Olson and Mike Egener being the new captain were announced, a number of awards were presented in front of a sell out and noisy crowd.
The award winners were as follows:
Coaches Player of the season - GREG LEEB.
Clubman of the Year - DALE WHITE
Best British Player - JAMES GRIFFIN
Best Defenceman of the Season - MIKE EGENER
Sponsor of the Year - CHRIS HAMMOND FROM HA CREATIVE
Goal of the Season - MIKE SCHUTTE vs Cardiff Devils 27th of October
Plus Minus award - BRAD LEEB
Players Player of the Season - GREG LEEB
Most Improved Player - JAMES GRIFFIN
Best Fight of the Season - BENN OLSON vs Devin Diomete (Cardiff Devils)
Best Forward of the Season - ADAM HENRICH
Champagne moment of the season - Peter Hirsch's saves late on at the Sheffield Steelers playoff game at Ice Sheffield
John Crook Award for a volunteer who goes above and beyond what a volunteer does goes to retiring Blaze photographer

The awards ended with a special presentation to Head Coach Paul Thompson who is leaving the club.
