Coventry Blaze Beaten In Over-Time

Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey Team went down to an over-time 3-2 defeat      at Sheffield Steelers.

The Blaze fans had something to cheer in a quiet first period when Dustin Cameron fired Coventry ahead on 18.14, assisted by Ben Olsson.

Eight minutes and twenty six seconds into the second period, the Steelers levelled through Jeff Legue, assisted by Drew Fata and Ashley Tait.

The Blaze had Mike Bayrack off the ice for two minutes for holding and on 37.55, Drew Fata found the net, assisted by Ashley Tait and Jonathan Phillips.

On 45.31, Mike Beleskey equalised for the second time with assists from Olson and Cameron and this took the game into over-time. 

Greg Leeb was off for hooking and Sheffield made the most of their numerical advantage when Shawn Limpright scored an unassisted powerplay goal on 63.37 to see the Blaze beaten 3-2.
