Charities in Coventry & Warwickshire are expected to be eight thousand pounds better off in January 2011, thanks to a fundraising Sportsmans Dinner held by the Coventry Charity Cup.

The recently held evening which had former West Ham and Everton striker Tony Cottee as its speaker raised in excess of £3,000 and keeps the Coventry Charity Cup, whose football cup final is at the Ricoh Arena on Tuesday May 4th, on course to donate £8,000.

Committee Member Matthew Kite is running in the Coventry Way 40 miler on Sunday and is hoping to raise more than £500 to add to the monies that will be donated.

Anyone who would like to sponsor Matthew can do so by emailing Matthew.Kite@Rolls-Royce.com
