Cov Rugby beaten At Macclesfield

Coventry Rugby Club went down to a 37-21 defeat at Macclesfield yesterday in a re-arranged National League One fixture.

The game was called off on Saturday due to a frozen pitch but went ahead twenty four hours later.


Phil Maynard's side trailed to tries from Charles Mulchrone and Ed Sayce before Sam Herrington scored his tenth try of the season for Coventry. Lee Audis converted and also converted in the 53 minute after Seb Pearson had scored a try for Coventry to cancel out a 48th minute Stewart try, and in the 58th minute when Dale Ager scored for Coventry.


Winney kicked three penalties and with Fowles scoring a 75th minute try which was converted, Coventry, who are at home to Rosslyn Park on Saturday, went down to defeat.
