City Ladies Through In County Cup

Coventry City made progress in the Birmingham County FA Women's Cup with a 6-0 victory at Solihull.

Chris Torkildsen opened the scoring for City and Leanne McKenna added a second.

Torkildsen (pictured below) hit the third for Paul Cudby's side and then went on to complete her hat-trick before Helen Dermody hit home a fifth and Kirsty Robson netted the sixth.

"I was very pleased with the performance," said Cudby to Steve Carpenter. "All of the players gave everything in horrific weather conditions which worsened as the game progressed.

We won't know who we have got until next week, but hopefully we can keep improving and keep playing as we are playing and we will see where it takes us."

Next Sunday's home league game against Leicester City has been postponed.
