Blaze Show Some Steel

Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey Team won 4-3 at Sheffield Steelers tonight.

The Blaze took the lead on 14.10 when Cameron slid on under the net minder, assisted by Shea and Smith. 

Sheffield levelled on 18.01 through Fata, assisted by Pecker and Legue and twenty seconds into the second period, Goertzen only had the Blaze net minder Schutte to beat and he did sending the puck high into the top corner of the net. 

Back came the Blaze and they levelled when Cameron scored again, this time on the powerplay, assisted by Shute and G Leeb and in the 24th minute, Coventry went ahead when Cameron got to the back post to score and complete his hat-trick.

The Blaze were five on three when they scored a fourth goal. This time, it was Guthrie who found the net, assisted by Leeb and Schutte.

Blaze led 4-2 at the end of the second period and although the Steelers came back with a goal on 43.02 from Shields, assisted by Sarich and  Goertzen, they kept going to ensure they left with a well deserved victory.
