Blaze Lose Double Header

Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey team were beaten  in a double headed Elite League game and Challenge Cup Group B match at Nottingham Panthers tonight.

Nottingham took the lead on 8.36 through a short handed goal by Matt Myers, assisted by Guillaume Lepine and one minute and twenty one seconds into the second period, Myers scored a second.

On 27.10, Bruce Graham scored an unassisted goal to make it 3-0 but on 29.16, Mike Beleskey got the Blaze on the scoresheet when he scored a powerplay goal, assisted by Shea Guthrie and Mike Schutte.

The loanee from the NHL hit a second on 35.38, assisted by Gerome Giudice.

A minute and fifteen seconds into the third period, Pat Gallivan scored a fourth for the Panthers, assisted by Robert Lachowicz and Matthew Myers. 

Beleskey completed his hat-trick, nineteen seconds later, assisted by Shea Guthrie but the Blaze went down to a double defeat.
