Coventry born boxer Steve Bendall will prepare for his fight against Darren McDermott in Coventry.

The City supporting southpaw from Tile Hill is training three times a week at the Red Corner Gym on Walsgrave Road to get ready for his fight against McDermott at the NIA in Birmingham on Saturday February 28th.

Bendall defends his Middleweight title knowing that this could set up a rematch against Wayne Elcock, whom he lost to in December 2006.

Back after a hand injury which meant that he missed out on another fight against Paul Smith, who he beat back in June, Bendall fights on a bill that sees Olympic Gold Medalist James DeGale make his professional debut.

The fight is promoted by Frank Warren's Sport Network and tickets can be obtained from the NIA.
