Coventry Bees went down to a 51-41 defeat tonight at Belle Vue.

At Kirkmanshulme Lane, Belle Vue has a 13-5 lead after three heats before Pawlicki and Harris earned a 4-2 Bees win in Heat Four.

Two 5-1 ones and a 3-3 had The Aces 28-14 ahead after seven heats. Ed Kennett had a tactical ride in heat seven and came up with nothing but Pawlicki had more success in Heat eight as the Bees won 5-3.

A 5-1 victory for the Bees in Heat nine slightly reduced the arrears but when Louis Bridger fell in Heat Ten, Belle Vue were back ahead by ten points.

Both sides won 4-2 either side of a 3-3 before a 5-1 to Belle Vue in Heat 15 compounded a bad night.

The Bees won a re-run last heat 5-1 but lost the meeting 51-41 and look unlikely to make the play-offs unless something drastic happens.
