Coventry Bees beat Belle Vue Aces 52-40 tonight at Brandon.

The Bees gave a debut to Michael Jepsen Jensen and Hans Andersen and Kyle Howarth got straight into the visitors, taking a 5-1 win in the opening heat.

After two 3-3's, the Bees went 16-8 up when Jason Garrity and Hansen rode to a 5-1.

Heat five should have given the Bees another 5-1, but Chris Harris allowed former Bees rider Scott Nicholls to get past him and it was a 4-2 for Coventry.

Daniel King took a tactical ride for The Aces and won in a 7-2 heat which was followed by two 3-3's.

In Heat nine, James Sarjeant and Stefan Nielsen went down on the first bend of a heat which was re-run after Sarjeant had caught his helmet on the tapes after jumping the start. Sarjeant managed to walk back to the pits after treatment as did Nielsen. Both were excluded when heat nine was re-run after the interval and Jason Garrity took the win ahead of Lee Payne.

Belle Vue took heat ten 4-2 but in the next heat, Jepsen Jensen had his first win for the Bees when he led Coventry to a 5-1.

A win for Kyle Howarth in a 4-2 gave the Bees a ten point lead which was extended to fourteen with a 5-1 win with Andersen taking victory.

Jason Garrity had another victory in heat fourteen as the Bees took a 4-2 win and although Nicholls and King won the final heat, Coventry had a great 52-40 win.
