Trust Re-launch “Honour” Campaign

The Sky Blue Trust have re-launched their campaign to ensure Coventry City Council recognise the achievement made by the 1987 FA Cup Winning Team.

In the twentieth anniversary year of that fantastic day at Wembley when Coventry City lifted the FA Cup in one of the most memorable finals in years , the Sky Blue Trust believe that Coventry City Council should grant them “Honorary” Freedom Of The City Of Coventry.

Natalie Cox from the Sky Blue Trust said “its terrible how a team that gave so much to this City, not only to football supporters but to the people should not be given the highest accolade possible by the City's Council”

Coventry City Football Club have also given their backing to the campaign with Managing Director, Paul Fletcher contacting the Lord Mayor's office and asking for this honour to be bestowed.

There will be a team of people from the Sky Blue Trust armed with clipboards at the Ricoh Arena for the home game against Plymouth on Saturday 30th September 2006 alternatively people can sign the online petition at
