COVENTRY CITY RESERVES 0-0 WOLVES RESERVES BY KEV MONKS

Mikkel Bischoff came through another ninety minutes as City Reserves drew 0-0 with Wolves at Ryton.

For the second reserves game against Wolves this season,Alan Cork fielded a mixture of experience and youth.

Mikkel Bischoff,Matt Heath and Wayne Andrews all started in a City side which should have been ahead in the eighth minute when Ange Lourougnon headed over from a Gooding cross.

Rafa Gonzalez was again in good form and in the 25th minute he got down to push a Jemal Johnson drive around the post.

Craig Davies went closest to scoring in the 39th minute when his shot from eight yards grazed the bar before being cleared.

Gonzalez saved from Johnson straight after the restart with Lourougnon going wide at the other end.

Without the injured play maker Kevin Thornton who has an ankle injury, clear cut chances were few and far between.

The best of what City could create fell to the battling Ryan Lynch who headed a 56th minute corner wide and forced the Wolves keeper into a block when he raised through in the 72nd minute.

Reis Ashraf wasted a good chance late on as both sides defended well to earn a draw.
