Coventry City Reserves ended what has been an enjoyable season with a 3-1 home defeat to FA Premier Reserve League South Champions Tottenham Hotspur at Rugby Town.

For what could be City's last game in this league if the PL big boys have their way,Alan Cork shuffled his pack and gave outings to fit again Isaac Osbourne and debuts to Academy players Temitope Obadeyi and Liam Francis whose height was reminiscent of Kevin Francis.

Clive Allen's side again included former Sky Blue Johnnie Jackson and in the sixth minute,Andy Barcham raced through only for a superbly timed tackle from Ben Turner who made his debut for the first team against Stoke on Saturday and whom again played well, to clear the danger.

Isaac Osbourne who will receive the Christy Heffernan Memorial Trophy on Sunday after winning the SBT Young Player Of The Year, looked commanding in midfield and rifled over an eight minute long ranger following good work by Lourougnon.

Watched by a big crowd at Butlin Road of 725 that included former Millwall boss David Tuttle,David Oldfield and Brian Laws. Lee Hildreth,Dean Marney and Obadeyi all fired over.

The first goal of the evening came in the 33rd minute when Johnny Jackson tore down the left and drove low into the net from ten yards.

Penalty claims by Aaron Stringfellow and Lee Hildreth were denied by referee Martin Harris even though the assistant flagged for the offence against Hildreth.

In the 57th minute, Spurs went further ahead when the classy Dean Marney burst through to stoke a right footed effort past Tuffey.

Isaac Osbourne was replaced straight after the goal. In their last games in a City shirt,Jonny Tuffey,Rikki Bains and Aaron Stringfellow all played well and I'm sure I speak on behalf of all of you wishing them and everyone else released all the best in finding new employers.

City fought back and with sixteen minutes to go,City pulled one back through Dale Jones who got the ball on his right to score from twelve yards.
In the last minute,Spurs wrapped up the victory with a lovely low drive from substitute Jacques Maghoma.
