Ranson Linked To Birmingham Bid

Mr Ranson is a former Blues player and has according to rumour mills in Birmingham, been linked with a possible takeover of the club.

The Premier League club have been looking for a new owner following the failure of a deal with Hong Kong businessman Carson Yeung.

Ranson, who has yet to pay a penny for Coventry City, would be expected to pay around £35m for the club which owns it's own St Andrews ground but would know that survival in the top flight for a season would soon recoup his investment.
