Coventry City manager Frank Lampard has reminded his players that the fight for Premier League survival remains an ongoing process despite their recent climb away from the relegation places.

The Sky Blues moved up the table following a convincing 3-1 victory over Sunderland on Saturday, with goals from Tatsuhiro Sakamoto, Taiwo Awoniyi, and Jack Rudoni sealing the points.

Lampard emphasised that adaptation takes time for newly arrived players and urged the dressing room to keep their focus intact ahead of Friday's league visit to Everton.

"The step up in this league is huge, and you have to give players time to grow into these demands," he said. "We are showing that we can compete, score goals, and manage difficult moments, but the standard must stay high every single week."
