Former Coventry City striker Andy Morrell has been on trial at Southport FC.
Morrell scored twice for the Merseyside based Conference Club in a 4-0 win at Bootle on Saturday and has been training with Southport.
He had been coaching at Shrewsbury Town and previously manager of Wrexham FC.
