Coventry’s Pindi Madahar has set his sights on the ultimate goal as he prepares to open his new-look TMA Academy in the New Year.
Madahar, who has fought professionally in the British MMA promotion Bamma since 2008 has been hard at work outside of the cage with the Academy he runs with his Father and manager.
The hard work will come to fruition in the first week of January when Pindi and all at TMA open there doors for a big promotion involving Victor Estima.
Pindi said: “We’ll be doing a big promotion and opening in the new year with special offers. We have just confirmed the signing coup of Victor Estima as an instructor here at TMA. Victor is one of the best Jiu-Jitsu fighters and instructors in the UK and the World.”
“Bringing in a name like Victor will get us attention and seeing his name affiliated with TMA will attract us to new fighters and help TMA grow, something I aim to do over the coming years.”
As well as growing the business side, Madahar is also aiming for some personal goals himself.
He said: “I believe if I win my next several fights and do so impressively or with a so-called flashy finish, it will get people’s attention to my name and ability as a fighter and not to sound cocky but I do believe I think I have the ability to get the attention of UFC’s scouts and get the phone of my manager ringing.”
Pindi said that his personal goal of fighting under the UFC banner would be more than just a realisation of a personal dream adding: “If I achieve my goal of fighting in UFC it will get global attention for us here at TMA. I’m not aiming to do that just for myself but for my family and my family here at TMA. Being a success there (UFC) would get TMA the recognition the hard work we all put in here it deserves.
Madahar is mindful of not getting down-hearted if the evolution to UFC doesn’t come in the next couple of years.
“In 2 years for example, If I am not in the UFC but instead still fighting for Bamma as one of their top fighters, I have the patience and awareness that I would be that bit closer to reaching my goal and would strive to improve even more with fighting for Bamma.”
Pindi’s next test inside the octagon comes in March where he fights for the British Lightweight title at the beginning of March. Details of venue and confirmed date are yet to be released but Pindi is very active on Twitter and Facebook as well as his personal website www.tma-mma.co.uk.
The social networking of modern life and business is something he says helps get the name of TMA out there. But in the coming years the name of TMA might not have any problems in getting publicity if Pindi realises his dreams.
