Daniel Diaz won the seventh Tour De San Luis today in Argentina.

The San Luis Somos Todos rider started the seventh stage in the leaders jersey after taking over control of the race on the fifth stage.

He finished safely in the peloton as the escapers were hunted down and caught and a bunch sprint developed on a 154.7km stage from San Luis to Juana Koslay.

Thor Hushovd has already withdrawn from the race before the stage started and there was no Mark Cavendish, who had won the opening stage,  as Mattia Gavazzi of the Androni Giocattoli team won the sprint and the stage in a time of 3.25.48, beating Cannondale's Peter Sagan, Movistar's Francisco Jose Ventoso, Lampre's Maximiliano Richeze and Bartiomiej Matysiak of the  CCC Polsat Polkowice team.
