At 2.30pm on Saturday before the Sky Blues take on Cardiff City at the Arena, there will be a parade of former Coventry City players. The parade marks the launch of the Coventry City Former Player Association, an idea from Jim Brown, Jim Cox, Kirk Stephens and a host of others including Covsupport.

There will be a formal lunch in the Eon Lounge with Guests taking part in a question and answer session to mark the launch which costs £90 plus vat with the players being presented on the pitch at 2.30pm.

Jim Brown, club historian told the club website: "The Former Players' Association is a long-cherished dream of mine and although it's important to look to the future, it's equally as important to remember the past, as the history of this Club has shaped it into the organisation it is today.

"The event at the Cardiff match is the first of its kind and it will certainly not be a one-off. "We're hoping it will be the start of something special. The
Former Players' Association will be involved with numerous other events, which will cater for all levels of our fan-base.

"I believe this organisation will bring the former players of the Sky Blues, who have contributed so much to the history of the club, closer to Coventry City in that if any of our ex-stars want to attend a game, they will be welcomed."
