Why Coventry City Are Not Nearer The Top Of The Table

Last updated : 20 December 2018 By SP

People are wondering why Coventry City are not nearer the top of the table these are my reasons.

1) Out of the 31 seasons the Play Offs have been going, only two League Two Play Off sides have won promotion the next season both of them automatically. Only another four have made the League One Play Offs whilst another four have been relegated.

2) We finished 6th in League Two, two teams finished above us that didn’t go up and we are still higher than champions Accrington.

3) The average finish next season for a League Two Play Off winners is 13th, look at the table!

4) We lost our top scorer (for the 9th season in a row the top or one of the joint top scorers has left)

5) Our 2nd highest scorer, Nazon left during last season, two of the joint 3rd highest scorers, Biambou and Jones have hardly played because of injuries.

6) So we have lost 39 league goals from last season!

Not even mentioning (until now) about the off field matters and our budget

So mid table this season would be OK.
