Why City Supporters Were In The Upper Tier At StadiumMK

Coventry City fans being in the upper tier at StadiumMK for the 1-0 defeat to Milton Keynes Dons had nothing to do with what happened at other matches involving City this season.

StadiumMK began placing fans up stairs last season. Basically, it is far easier to manage and it is rare now when a team's support is to be found in the lower tier.

Fans from Brentford and Wolves have caused problems with pitch incursions hence the upper tier being used.

Recent times when fans have been on the lower tier in the corner beneath one of our four scoreboards include Bury and Fleetwood who traveled with less than 100 fans each.

When larger numbers come, such as City in the past, Northampton, AFC, Oxford and Peterborough, Chelsea and Man United, all levels have been used.

The location of away fans is based on simple logistics.
