We Need A Greater Desire To Score - Pressley

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley feels that his players need a greater desire to score.

Pressley's side have failed to find the net in their last three away games and drew a blank in Saturday's defeat to Leyton Orient and the City manager feels that a greater desire to score is needed.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, Pressley said: "We need to turn those opportunities into goals and that will only come by having a greater desire to score in the box and our final decision and final pass being better.

“And also anticipation in the box because we had quite a lot of moments where we didn’t anticipate and if we had taken the chance we would have scored at the weekend.

“We went over our play with the group this week and these are the areas where we must find goals but you will only score goals if you go into that box with a desire to score, and I don’t think at this moment in time that that’s been in our mentality.

“And that needs to change because once we create opportunities there needs to be a greater desire to score."
