Watching A Game On TV Could Get You A Banning Order

Last updated : 06 June 2012 By Covsupport News Service

Most of us think that in order to get a Football Banning Order, you actually have to commit an offence at a ground or when going to or from a match.

Well, according to Avon & Somerset Police's Chief Superintendent Caroline Peters, you can receive one if there is trouble in a pub.

CS Peters is quoted as saying: "Someone who is watching a Euro 2012 match on a big screen at their local pub who then becomes embroiled in football-related anti social behaviour could end up in court and ultimately wind up with a FBO."
