An invitation to relive the greatest day in the Sky Blue's history on the biggest TV screen in the city has been sent out today.

Saturday 16 May 1987 is a date set in many Coventry fans memories and the whole match is to be shown on the Live Site Screen in Millennium Place on Saturday 19 May.

Football fans will be able to sample the outdoor atmosphere in the city centre complete with the option of standing or seating spaces available as Wembley itself was in May 1987! The famous Sky Blue Bus which carried the team round on their triumphant return to the city on the Sunday after the match will also be out on display in Millennium Place.

John Sillett, the City's manager on that famous day in the club's history, said: "I said we'd win a cup when I got the City job – I was thinking of the Leamington Hospital Cup which we'd won 8 years in a row! As people have heard me say before, I just felt our name was destined to be on the cup that year and obviously it's a day nobody will forget."

The Live Site screening will also kick off at 3pm on the 19th, to replicate the actual match day and everyone is invited down to relive the experience.

The Live Site Screen, situated on the side of Coventry Transport Museum, will provide a quality large viewing screen and excellent sound for those watching and the showing of the match is part of an on-going year round programme of events which will be shown on the screen.

People are also being encouraged to enjoy other football-related events in the city centre that day with the current "From Highfield Road to Wembley Way" exhibition at the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum, being open from 10.00am to 4.00pm. Entrance is free to the exhibition which runs until 1 July.
