Totally Focussed On Our Own Game - Thorn

Coventry City manager Andy Thorn feels that his side must continue to focus on themselves and not worry about how other results are going.

The City support at Turf Moor on Saturday were well aware of how Bristol City were getting on at Birmingham City but the players weren’t and Thorn told the CT’s Alan Poole: “We didn’t know what was happening at St Andrew’s and we didn’t want to know.

“You’ve got more than enough on your plate dealing with your own game without worrying about what other people are doing.

“It was disappointing for us to come in at the end and discover that Bristol had got a point from a difficult fixture but it wouldn’t have made any difference to us if we had known that they were leading at half-time.

“We were totally focussed on our own game and that’s the way it will be for the rest of the season.

“We’ve got three games left and we’ll be looking to win all three. If we do that we’ll have every chance of staying up and as we can’t influence what’s happening to other people we won’t waste time and energy worrying about them.”
