Thorn To Field Strongest Available Side

Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has said he will field his strongest possible side against Southampton tomorrow in the FA Cup.

Thorn welcomes back Cyrus Christie who missed the defeat at West Ham United after suffering the effects of something he ate on New Years Eve, but has concerns over Lukas Jutkiewicz who took a knock to his back on Monday.

Everyone who played against West Ham United on Monday are all expected to feature and Thorn's biggest problem will be who to name on the bench as seven substitutes must be named in FA Cup ties.

With City U18's pushing to win the league, Thorn will be reluctant to weaken Greg Rioch and Lee Carsley's team to face Bristol City and may name the likes of Sammy Clingan who is back in training but not yet fit enough to play on the bench instead.

Southampton boss Nigel Adkins has Ricky Lambert suspended after the forward was sent off against Brighton on Monday and is expected to rest some of his players to keep them fresh for their title challenge.
