This Was A Positive Point - Boothroyd

Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd was looking on the bright side of life after the Sky Blues 1-1 draw with Leicester City this afternoon.

City let Leicester have too many chances and then left it slip after Clive Platt had given the Sky Blues a first half lead, when Andy King was allowed to equalise with fifteen minutes remaining.

Speaking to the Press Association, after the game, Boothroyd, who remains confident that a deal to sign Marlon King will be done in the next few days, said: ."If I'd played like that as a Leicester player or (as a) fan or from Paulo's point of view, I would be disappointed not to get three points.

"But the reason they haven't got three points is because we are very difficult to beat. We are dogged and we are horrible and we are a work in progress. We are getting better all the time.

"We are disappointed with the result. Everyone wants to beat their rivals in a local derby but at the end of the day we will look at this as a positive point. You are not going to win every game by scoring lots of goals but it's going to take time."
