Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has said that the players were hurting after the 1-0 defeat to Millwall which all but condemned City to a place in League One next season unless there is some massive miracle was disappointing.
Speaking to Sky Blue Player, Thorn said: "It isn't an air of resignation but an air of anger really and disappointment because those are the sort of games which we should be winning, but we didn't.
"The lads are hurting and they have given everything but it is a long season. We needed to get a result in the game but it wasn't to be.
"We are finding out the hard way really and the players have run themselves into the ground but we have come up a little short at the end of the day."
