Jay Tabb, who has recently been linked with a move to join former Skyblues manager Iain Dowie at QPR, has stated that he wants to stay with Coventry City. The midfielder, who is 24, will shortly meet with chairman Ray Ranson to negotiate an extension to his contract which expires in the summer of 2009.

Tabb has said, "I am very happy that the club want to talk about a new contract, It would have been nice if it had happened as soon as the season finished because I have only got a year left."
"I got player of the year and I have got a really good relationship with the chairman and the manager and love the training here, so I want to get a new contract sorted before the first game of the season against Norwich."
"I have spoken to the chairman and told him that I am really happy here and I want to get my future sorted out."

Tabb says that he still misses living in London where his family and friends are, but he went on to say,"I just want to get a contract signed before the start of the season."
