Sutton In Charge For City V Middlesbrough

The currently appointed referee for Coventry City's Championship game against Middlesbrough on Saturday is Gary Sutton from Lincolnshire.

Mr Sutton started refereeing at 14 and he has taken charge of the Division 2 Play-Off Final at the Millennium Stadium in 2004 between Bristol City and Brighton and the second leg of the 2005 FA Youth Cup Final between Ipswich and Southampton.

His one and only other City game was the 2-1 defeat at Swansea City in September 2010.

This will be Mr Sutton's 25th game this season and his fifth Championship game. He has shown 70 yellow cards and six red.

His assistants are Martin Dexter from Leicestershire and Paul Hobday from Birmingham.  The Fourth Official is Daniel Leach from Oxfordshire.
