Supporter Backing Is Helping Me - Best

Coventry City striker Leon Best has said that getting the full backing of the City support is helping his game.

The striker, who won the Covsupport News Service Young Player Of The Year Award last season, has always had the backing from those who attend away matches and the vast majority of the home support but he got booed from a very small section of fans at a couple of home matches where cheaper tickets were available.

Now the masked man has become a cult hero and has the full backing of the City support. It is that full backing which he is thriving on, saying to the club website: "It gives you a rush to know the fans are behind you and definitely gives you a lift and gets something extra out of you."

Best has recovered from a throat infection and is expected to start against Chelsea.
