Sturridge Scores For England

Former Coventry City youngster Danny Sturridge scored for England tonight in a World Cup warm up game against Peru.

Sturridge scored with a superb effort for England in the 32nd minute of a match which saw former City loanee Jordan Henderson start.

Gary Cahill scored a second in the 64th minute following a corner and it was another that led to Phil Jaglieka slotting home a third after a keeper flap in the 68th minute.

With eight minutes left, Sturridge, who was the ITV Man Of The Match, was replaced as England took a 3-0 win.
